Merthyr Town F.C., known as The Martyrs, is a fan-owned semi-professional club based in Merthyr Tydfil, Wales. They play at Penydarren Park and currently compete in the National League North after winning the Southern League Premier South in 2025. Reformed in 2010, the club has strong community roots and continues to grow both on and off the pitch.

I had the opportunity to photograph for Merthyr Town FC, capturing the passion and energy that defines the club. From the moment I arrived at Penydarren Park, I focused on documenting the atmosphere—fans in full voice, players locked in, and the emotion that unfolded both on and off the pitch. I aimed to tell the story of the match through each frame, whether it was a crunching tackle, a goal celebration, or a quiet moment of focus before kick-off. Photographing for a club with such strong community roots was a privilege, and it allowed me to showcase not just the action, but the heart of Merthyr Town FC.
